I now require a consultation prior to your first session. It's a great opportunity to discuss the look you want to achieve, any health concerns, and for me to look at your skin up close. If you have had any previous microblading or permanent makeup work done elsewhere on the area you want me to work on, I will need to determine if the area can be treated. Consults are $25 and the price gets applied to the total cost of your microblading service should you choose to book.
If you are traveling from far away and would like to arrange a consultation via Facetime, we can do that as well! Email info@gobbare.us to arrange a date and time.
Please check out my portfolio for most recent work! Every artist has a different style, so make sure you like what you see before you visit. Please read everything here in case you have any questions! A $100 non-refundable deposit will be taken at time of booking to hold your spot. If you show up and have not followed the pre-procedure advice, we will not be able to perform your service. Please read through all of the before and aftercare thoroughly. If you have any allergy concerns regarding our numbing cream (lidocaine, benzocaine, and tetracaine blend) or pigments being used, you will need a patch test prior to booking. (You will sign a patch test waiver if you do not have any concerns)
Things to review and consider before booking:
MICROBLADING PRE PROCEDURE ADVICE Microblading procedure normally requires multiple treatment sessions. For best results, clients will be required to return for at least one follow-up appointment a.k.a "perfecting session". This will take place between 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure or as recommended by your artist. Please be aware that color intensity will be significantly darker and sharper immediately after the procedure. This will reduce by 30%-50%. Color can also look "warmer" and slightly expand initially. Although numbing cream is used during the procedure, slight sensitivity/ discomfort may still be felt by sensitive clients. Do not work out the day of the procedure. Delicate or sensitive skin may be red and/ or swollen after the procedure.
Please wear your normal brow make-up to the studio on the day of your procedure. Please do not drink alcohol the night before treatment and caffeinated beverages morning of treatment. Do not take aspirin or ibuprofen prior to appointment (thins the blood and we will not be able to do the procedure.) Where possible, try to avoid the following herbs and spices prior to your appointment: Fish Oil or Vitamin E for 1 week prior: Black pepper (Piper nigrum), Cardamom (Elettaria cardamom), any member of the Zingiberaceae (Ginger) family Cayenne (Capsicum frutescens) Cinnamon (Cinnamomum cassia), Garlic (Allium sativum), Horseradish (Armoracia lapathifolia), Mustard - A patch test will be performed, unless waived upon request. Do not pick, tweeze, wax, or perform electrolysis one week before procedure if brows are being treated. Do not tint brows/lashes closer than 3 days prior. Do not have a facial/peel 2 weeks prior to appointment.. AHA preparations should be undergone no less than 2 weeks before the treatment. Chemical, laser peel or Retin-A should not be utilized 4 weeks before the procedure. ****PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THERE WILL BE A $75 CHARGE IF A CLIENT HAS TO BE RESCHEDULED FOR NOT FOLLOWING THE ABOVE PROTOCOL****
Topical anesthetic advice: Allergic reactio can occur from any anesthetics using during procedure. If you do suffer from an allergic reaction, you should contact your doctor immediately. Allergic reaction response may show through redness, swelling, rash, blistering, dryness or any other symptoms associated with an allergic reaction. Numbness: We cannot accept responsibility if the area to be treated does not respond to the numbing cream. Each individual is different according to skin type. Some clients report the area to be completely numb, while others may experience some discomfort. Procedure: For microblading procedure a numbing cream/gel is used. The products are formulated to be perfectly safe and can be purchased over the counter from any pharmacy/ chemist. The anesthetic is placed over the treatment area for 20-30 minutes then carefully removed prior to treatment. As a result of the treatment, combined with the use of the anesthetic you can expect to experience some redness/ swelling that can last 1 - 4 days. You should always follow your post procedure advice/ after care for the best results. Post procedure protocols will be discussed during consultations and the day of you treatment.
Please follow aftercare instructions as closely as possible. Your healed results depend on you! Swelling and redness around the brows is very normal. However, if you are excessively swollen with one or both eyes very puffy and unable to open, or redness that does not subside by about day 4, contact the studio and go to urgent care to make sure you aren't having an allergic reaction or possible infection. The sooner you are seen and treated, long term problems can be avoided. Your brows can still heal properly. This occurance is very rare, but can happen.
Gently cleanse brows with the provided soap, lukewarm water, and a clean q-tip every day following your procedure. DO NOT GET THEM SOAKED. A small amount of water should be used to cleanse and then remove the soap.
Begin Using your balm up to twice a day starting the day after your procedure as needed. A rice grain amount can be used on each brow with clean fingertips to keep the skin hydrated and protected. If you are not flaking, tight, or dry after cleansing, or an oily skin type, you may not need much balm.
*Avoid all skincare products within 1" of the brow, and no retinol or glycolic acid on the forehead at all until healed.
*Avoid excessive sweating and dirt for 10 days following your procedure to avoid an infection. *Wear a large hat or sunglesses to protect the ink during the healing process.
*DO NOT apply makeup or sunless tanner to the healing brows for 4 full weeks! If your brows become itchy, you may tap on them with clean fingers. Avoid touching your brows with unwashed hands, and DO NOT PICK at any flakes or dry skin. It will naturally fleck off gently during cleansing.
*Avoid submerging your face in the pool or ocean, and avoid saunas or hot steamy showers whle healing.
*Sunscreen can be used once fully healed and is encouraged to prolong the inks longevity, *Please notify your technician if you are having an MRI thst you have permanent makeup. *Avoid any laser or IPL treatments anywhere on or near the ink as this could cause a major burn or pigment loss.
*Wait 1 year after your tattoo to donate blood as per Red Cross policy.
